In the upcoming week there will be a number of activities held by member organizations of Friends of the Filipino people in Struggle (FFPS). Please contact us with any questions or if you would like to join as well!
On the 29th of January there will be a webinar on the prospects for a just peace in the Philippines in light of the Oslo statement and the current economic and political situation in the Philippines and across the globe. This event will be hosted by various member organizations of FFPS in the United States.
Please join on Monday, January 29 at 5PM PST / 8PM EST! Make sure to register: tinyurl.com/jan29ffpswebinar
For those in the area of Seattle in the United States, Kaibigan (FFPS member in Seattle) will hold an event to read and learn from the CPPs annual statement in Ang Bayan: “Rectify errors and strengthen the Party! Unite and lead the broad masses of the Filipino people in fighting the US-Marcos regime! Advance the people’s democratic revolution!” You can RSVP for location: tinyurl.com/55CPPStudy.
Over the course of four weeks Kaibigan will meet, read, and discuss the four sections of this statement. Through discussion, they hope to gain a collective grasp on this important text and how they understand its relevancy to the ongoing revolutionary struggle in the Philippines as well as the international situation and the heightening crisis in the American imperial core. Spots are limited so please RSVP in advance.
Next to these activities in the US, FFPS has active member organizations in Canada, Netherlands, Spain, UK, Austria, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and individual members and allies in several other countries. If you (or your organization) would like to join or start a solidarity group, please contact us!
