On March 18 2025, US-backed Israel broke the ceasefire agreement through heavy bombings of Gaza, killing more than 400 civilians, including babies and children , with airstrikes that are still ongoing. Israeli military has also begun new ground operations in Gaza. The bloody and indiscriminate attacks signal a full resumption to the US-backed Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people.
The March 18 bombings are the latest and most severe Israeli violations of the ceasefire with the Palestinian resistance. While the Palestinian resistance forces haven’t once violated the ceasefire agreements, previous Israeli airstrikes and blockades of humanitarian aid had killed at least 155 Palestinians. It exposes that the true goal of US-Israel is not peace, but the full displacement or extermination of the Palestinian people.
The Trump regime of the US stands fully behind these genocidal goals of Israel. Politically it has sabotaged the ceasefire deal by trying to coerce the Palestinian resistance forces into terms unfavorable for the Palestinians, while also openly speaking of ethnically cleansing the Gaza strip so it can dominate and exploit its resources. Financially it recently approved the delivery of $3 billion worth of bombs and other weapons. Militarily it has started to bombard the Yemeni people to punish the Houthi movement for their active and militant solidarity with the Palestinian people.
We as Friends of the Filipino People (FFPS) condemn in the strongest possible terms the US-Zionist genocide against the Palestinian people, and US-led aggression in the Middle East. It exposes the utter evilness of imperialism and demands of all progressive peoples to stand up in solidarity against the utter destruction that US-led wars inflict upon the people of the world. This means we have to oppose war criminals like Netanyahu, Trump, Duterte, Marcos and other US-backed tyrants, and build a global united anti-imperialist front against US-led war and US hegemonic imperialism.
